Everyone please do your research before buying this product, Olight has a pretty negative reputation in the firearm world with their rechargeable batteries as one of them exploded and managed to kill someone. While this is a cool product just exercise some caution

I use Ansmann Lithium rechargeable batteries, they charge via usb C and have nearly 2000mah storage. they are 1.5v until they die and last a very long time without charge. quite expensive however

Not sure why all the complaining. Have they seen the robosen one looks similar only difference is at least this one transforms. Robosen who are known for self transforming robotos couldn't even make one that transformers. This will look good next to my prime can't wait definitely be picking this up

I do have a lot of AA batteries! This should be quite handy for charging them. Although, I also have a lot of triple AAA batteries. Do they have triple AAA chargers or AA & AAA 2-in-1 chargers?

I feel like Lego just copied our ideas and made it into a set. I seen this Countach built as a b model to the Lego Creator Porsche 911.

I wanted to buy it, but shipping to Switzerland costs 40$, while it only cost 15$ for shipping to Germany, with no mention of predeclared or prepaid customs, in the end this would cost me 170$, while it would cost me 115$ in Germany. For 115$, this is interesting but for 170$ this ain't it chief. I was already excited but in a couple years there will surely be more reasonable offers. Sad

IMO this tech would have been cool in like …2010-2014….i feel like this is outdated tech. Many people dont even use batteries anymore let alone rechargeable AAs. Thoughts?

An Ikea TJUGO, or even more than one. Cheap, effective. It is also an test- and storage device for 8 batteries.

This looks great! I've just backed the project. My only constructive feedback I'd give (if they're reading) would be to reroute the usb port to the base of the device instead of just protruding out the middle.

I'm not sure I'd trust something like this to automatically sort and charge batteries with the right polarity. It would be interesting to see a teardown of this to see how "the magic happens".

Yep your right, when I first got my technic sets, I used standard unrechargeable double A's, and oh I tell you I ran out of batteries fast, This is a genius solution for LEGO fans and enthusiasts. This review makes me wanna buy it even more!

Shapeing on the front is not quite right as its missing an angle and the rear engine cover should have more slits

Lego's gonna have a hard time bringing out Megatron as it transforms into a gun.

I like that it uses the same joints as Exo Force, they were the best for mechs and stuff.

Age ratings have never made sense for LEGO sets. I think they should adopt a complexity-rating system: -Option #1: Rate each set with zero to five bricks (zero being something like Duplo, and five bricks being something like the Eiffel Tower) -Option #2: Label each set with levels from "Beginner" to "Expert" -Option #3: Give each set a short description, from "Anyone can build" to "Complex and Challenging"
